The Scotts

I had such a blast with these three last week! Sweet Otto turned one year old so we did some photos to celebrate! Laura and Dre are wonderful parents who have such a joy and love for life! Otto is a very lucky boy to have such loving parents.

Emma + Tanner

As the sun was coming up on a beautiful Saturday in June, I began the road trip up north of Detroit Lakes, MN to photograph Emma and Tanner's wedding day. This one was a little different from most of our weddings, as our good friend Emily was photographing with me instead of a very pregnant Bethany.

What I loved about this wedding was the amount of love Emma and Tanner showed each other and how much their guests showed their support. As a wedding photographer, you spend a lot of time with the couple, their friends, and their families. Its so encouraging when the people closest to the bride and groom have only good things to say, happy tears to shed, and incredible memories to make.

Emma and Tanner chose to wait until the wedding to see each other that day, and their reactions were just beautiful. Tanner was so excited to see his bride for the first time and Emma  just couldn't stop smiling if she tried. The ceremony was beautiful with a great message, music from friends, and a whole lot of love.

As Emily and I drove back to the cities that night, we couldn't stop ranting and raving about how incredible the day was. These two had such an amazing eye for creating a gorgeous wedding, were so happy to be hitched, and just had a blast. The dance floor was completely packed from the start of the reception until well past the time it was supposed to end. What a party!

Congrats you two! We were so honored to capture the big day.

Also, I cant forget to show you the INCREDIBLE video that Captured Formal did for Emma and Tanner. Stunning. Check out their work, these guys know their stuff, and were a joy to work with.

The Scott's

This weekend we had the pleasure of taking photos of Otto and his parents Laura and Dre! Otto just turned six months old! He is so adorable, and those blue eyes! Wow! Also I have to mention that the adorable yellow knit sweater he is rocking, his grandmother made for him! How sweet is that!

We had a blast spending time with this happy family!

Sami + Reid

It was a clear fall night in Green Point Brooklyn, Sami and Reid were gather under twinkle lights with their friends and family in the backyard of their favorite bar "The Black Rabbit". There they were sitting at long table with their closest love ones laughing and enjoying some good drinks. To  me it was a perfect representation of where they had come from and where they were going. You know those moments in life that just surprise you resinate with you long after the moment has passed? Well one of those moments happened that night, Reid is an excellent cartoonist and he made this AMAZING print of everyone who helped out with the wedding in some way, he had drawn everyone all on one print and it was in the shape of a dinosour. They stood up and explained why the choose the people they did to have be a part of their wedding day an handed out a print to everyone. It was so special, that night set up the whole wedding day to be that much more amazing.

Everything from Sami and Reid’s wedding day was so perfectly them, from saying “I do” in front of New York City to having quotes from their favorite movies read during the wedding. Their reception was one like I’d never seen, the guests were encouraged to grab as many slices of delicious new york pizza as they wanted, try the assortment of baked goods, grab drinks and mingle. Plus they had the cutest little dinosaur cake topper you'd ever seen. They had some really fun activities for their guest as well, Reid had made little temporary tattoos of him and Sami so by the end of the night everyone got to take a little piece of them home. Our FAVORITE part of the reception was when Sami and Reid’s band played! So at their own wedding they performed! They danced around and just had a really good time!

We are so happy for these two and we hope you loved their images as much as we do!

Juni Family

Every year we look forward to exchanging sessions with our great friends Jenny and Joel. They run an incredible photography and videography studio up in Detroit Lakes.

We met in Waite Park in St. Cloud Minnesota on a beautiful fall day and walked around the quarry. It's been a long standing tradition to exchange sessions with these two and one that we look forward to every summer. Little Andrew is getting so big!

Nikki + Frank

We love these two! We got to have a beautiful engagement session with Nikki and Frank a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier about how it turned out. These two have a natural chemistry and a love for each other that comes across so well on camera. Nikki and Frank are so fun and witty and we loved spending time with them!

Tara + James

We can't wait to photograph Tara and James's wedding next year! We went on a great Fall walk in St. Paul with them on Halloween and took some photos to celebrate their engagement. The love and care that these two have for each other is incredible and their smiles are infectious. They were simply natural and comfortable together and we had so much fun photographing them!

Brittany + Wyatt

Brittany and Wyatt's wedding day was perfect. It was a beautiful Fall day up at Sturgeon Lake in Minnesota with a lovely breeze and tons of amazing family and friends. The wedding was held outside overlooking the lake and officiated by one of their good friends.

Every time I saw Brittany and Wyatt catch each other's eye, I could just sense the magic. These two care so much for each other and their love was apparent all day. From the moment they saw each other during the first look all the way to the last dance, these two had nothing but love.

I just love first looks. Brittany was so excited as I left to get Wyatt, anxiously waiting for her groom to arrive. When a groom is waiting to see his bride-to-be on their wedding day and she finally taps him on the shoulder and he turns around it's impossible to hide the joy and emotion.

After Brittany and Wyatt spent some time together we walked over to the bridge they would cross to their ceremony. Their family and friends were all there for them!

Perfect wedding day, and perfect sunset reception. Congrats you two!
